York Engine Enterprise is run by Christopher York from 272 Main St in Lewiston, Maine, the same office as his tax-preparation and insurance work. York started as the tool he wanted for his own books.
The owners who need help most are the ones running a cleaning route, a crew, or a counter, with the books done at the kitchen table on Sunday night. The tools built for them either cost too much, send everything to someone else's cloud, or need an accountant to read. York is meant to be simple, stable and low-priced: a good-enough everyday desk that brings a little of the help big companies have to the people it would make a real difference for.
