YorkYour private AI desk
How it works

Software you own, on a machine you own

No monthly data hostage, no account on someone else's server. York is sold as software that runs on your own hardware.

Day one

Three steps to a working desk

  • 1A folder. Your receipts, invoices, mileage and documents go in one project folder. Photos from your phone count.
  • 2A sentence. Ask a question or give an instruction in plain words. York previews anything it would write.
  • 3A check. You read the answer. The figures are computed from your files, and anything York wrote can be undone.
Rules York keeps

So you can trust what it says

  • 1Nothing leaves your machine, and every answer says so. Local models. Each reply carries a stamp: answered on your hardware, or sent out, so you always know. Online help is off unless you turn it on; sensitive text (account numbers, legal, medical, anything about children) never goes out even then.
  • 2Numbers come from code. Any figure you would file is computed from your records. A missing piece is named beside the number.
  • 3Preview before it writes. Undo after.
  • 4A question never changes anything. Asking "how much" reads. Only a plain instruction writes.
  • 5No tax or legal advice. York keeps records straight and hands your preparer a clean picture.
  • 6It says when it does not know. York is an AI system and can be wrong. It never fills a gap with an invented fact.
Updates and support

Fixes ship as updates

If something goes wrong, you send the error code or a support bundle you have reviewed, and we fix it. If a licence ever lapses, York goes read-only and your data stays readable and exportable. Your files are ordinary CSV, text and PDF; open them with anything, back them up however you already do.
